Setting up Hoobs
Here is the method to add homebridge to the ATX LED Hub
- Purchase the complete hoobs device for $169
- connect to the wifi or wired ethernet in the home ( on the same network as the Hub)
- login and create a username and password
- Install the gsh plugin for Google
- Install the hue plugin
- On the dashboard, check that the bridge service is running and the version is 3.3.5 or later
( top right, 3 dots -> System ) - Settings
- Interface settings = default
- server settings = Bridge Auto Start 1 second
- Port Range = blank
- Apple Home
- update Service name
- port 51826
- Home Username - default [ note: if you re-install the hub, you will need to change this string ]
- Home Pin - no change
- Hue
- Name = Hue
- Any On = Yes
- Group0 = Yes
- Bridges/Gateways = "192.168.5.39" [ set to the IP address of the ATX LED Hub ]
- Lights = Yes Expose lights.
- Link Button = Yes Expose the link button on the Hue bridge.
- Native Home Kit Lights = Yes
- Native Home Kit Sensors = Yes
- Resource = Yes
- Users "b827ebefa86a": "470a0c52e89555f73b11904c84af6192"
[ Set the 12 character string to match your ATX LED Hub Mac Address ] - Wall Switch = Yes
- Save Changes
- Click on Accessories -> Click on unassigned -> view the light switches
- go to the Apple App for homepods, add accessory - scan the QR code on the Hoobs main page
Note:
if you get the error message "already assigned" then change "Home Username" by one digit
