 ZWD Admin Page features

The Admin page offers these DALI Master features and functions

Status
ZPDS version number - for example: 0255-f1ba504
Number of DALI Channels: 1, 2, 4
Local IP Address: 192.168.5.39 ( depends on your network )
MAC Address: b827ebefxxxx ( depends on your device)
We recommend Dataplicity.com for remote access to the Pi.   Please remove our default and create your own Dataplicity account at dataplicity.com

We recommend that you enable cloud backups
Enable Cloud backups, Enable me.atxled.com

If you need a version more recent than the public version - a tag can be added to
/atxled/branch with the content refs/tags/release-464 for example - atx tech support will help, going backwards
might cause loss of data, so do not revert to a lower release.  Other values are "test" and "alpha"

Tools
  • Server Update - click to download new version.
  • Reset AL-WS-DR2 Switch position
    - for older AL-WS-DR2 devices with a rocker - this will restore Up == On, down == off
  • Restore backup from the cloud - see instructions
  • Pulse Lights - this is used to find if all lights are working.
    - start Pulsing, walk the property, see that all lights with DALI drivers are pulsing from 80% to 20%, and changing color - 1 second each.  Color change test in version 414 or later
Send DALI power on/system fail level.    This is to insure LEDs return to the last setting after a power outage, if enabled, the stored Fail and Power On values will be overwritten each time a level is changed by ZWD ( for example schedule or triggers).  The AL-WS-DR2 has this feature enabled by default and does not require this feature.   Other DALI device need their default power on and fail setting to be set by ZWD.

Send a heartbeat status.   This sends a regular heartbeat with system status info for tech support

Provisioning     DALI devices need address assignment before they can be used    These buttons allow management of the DALI address on the bus
  • Rescan Addresses
    - read each DALI address and the device at that address to populate the user interface to match the internal registers in the DALI drivers.   A full scan reads all parameters from every DALI device and can take 3-4 minutes to complete.

  • Rescan Addresses Quick
    - only checks the up/down status of each DALI address and takes about 15 seconds

  • Assign Addresses
    - search the bus for DALI devices with unassigned, or duplicate addresses, and assign short addresses in the range of 48-63 to each device.
    - If there are more than 48 devices    See Groups/Virtual 3-Way and create all Virtual 3-Way associations first.
    - if there are no new Virtual 3-Way needed, see /Advanced to move devices from the 48-63 range down to 0-15.
    - a full assignment can take up to 10 minutes
    - after the full assignment, a complete rescan will be done

  • Assign Addresses (Quick)
    - assigns addresses to new devices only, but does not correct duplicate addresses i
NOTE:
  • The bus is fully scanned when the system starts or is updated, and a scan is done every 12 hours to identify added or removed devices
